The Roos had four debutants in the R6 CCCRL 1st Grade match against Terrigal on 5 June.
Jacob Smeaton, Max Sedgman and Cooper Bigeni all received their call up from the U19’s while Tyson England was elevated from Reserve Grade.
Wyong jumped out to an 18-0 lead in the first half with Max scoring the opening try. The Sharks fought back in the second period and missed a sideline conversion to take the match in the dying minutes. The final 22-22 scoreline was probably a fair result in the circumstances.
Each debutant played well and did not look out of place at 1st Grade level. The individual performances have left Coach Lewis and his staff with some selection headaches.
